Im looking to replace my old ocz vertex for something new nad fast
-
Crucial drives are known to be reliable and fast. If you can and need more space, you can get the 128 gig drive because it is only $25 more than the 64. But if you don't need the space, you can get the one off of newegg. I think Corsair has been overlooked but is also pretty good and available for $20 cheaper than the Crucial. -
I just tested my both ssd
should I replace ocz for something new?

The Vertex still feels quick and snappy, doesn't it?
Is it possible for you to do the following? http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/f...-Update-for-34nm-Vertex-Agility-Solid2-drives
Worked on my 250/256GB Vertex 1 drive, though it bricked afterwards due to a mistake on my part... -
Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
If you want an SSD that small, go with the 830 series from Samsung.
Larger sized SSDs will be faster because they have more NAND channels. Companies like OCZ don't tell you that, they rate all the sizes the same performance. -
thanks
I may go with 128GB because faster write speed
how important is write speed for system drive? -
Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
I mean...unless you copy data 24/7, your OS drive will mostly be doing reads. Most important figures are really the 4k speeds, the first block is sequential read/write and don't translate to real world performance.
My Intel 320 series 320GB RAID 0 array.
What is the best 60-64GB ssd available today?
