    What is the fastest mini pci-e wifi (n+) card?

    You probably won't notice much difference in performance, but it would probably be the Intel 5300.

    I'm pretty sure it's the Intel 5300 until they put out the 6xxx series.

    Intel 5300 for now.. although a 5100 is good enough.. its quite cheap so you can buy a 5300 now and replace it later on with a 6000 series card..

    thanks ill go for the 5300 then. is there some sort of disadvantage to getting the half size card rather than the full size card? also when do you think the 6300 or sixth series cards will be available?

    There aren't any disadvantages to a half sized card. The new wireless modules will come out in Q1 2010 w/ Calpella.
