Hey Quick question what is the max space you can use in an ssd?
i remember reading somewhere last year like 85% or are those for the ssds that dont have trim? Im planning to get an intel 510 and prob gonna use more than 85% for all my games and apps for my desktop. Just wondering if it was okay to do so.

The Intel 510 seems to already have a spare area. (250/256GB)

Oh i thought it was the same way regular hdd does space. I forgot how to calculate i took a class in IT and it had something to do where a company says 250gb but only shows 232gb etc... I thought the same goes for ssd.
So if i get the 120gb it will show 111gb and its fine for me to use the whole space? and im guessing the space that doesn't show is for the ssd to not be fully maxed out so it can properly optimized? -
No, there is "overprovisioning" that the drive uses. So a 60GB drive will still show 60GB (or whatever the calculated space is), and the overprovision area is above and beyond what the drive capacity is.
What is the max space you can use on your ssd?
