So I was wondering what this component is named and what it costs?
I might have to replace that one and am wondering where to get it.

Alright, I somehow was finally able to google it correcly (I don't know why after this post I was suddenly able to finally figure it out)
So correct me if I'm wrong.
The thing is called an inductor and is basicially just a coil of copper.
On my graphicscard the grey plastic is reddish (probably due to high heat) and I assume that is a result of sloppy reword on a chip. I thought that it would be a chip or something and therefore broken, but not that I know what a inductor looks like I can safely say, that it's just the plastic and nothing else, inside the plastic is just a coil of copper. Which you would need insane temperatures to melt which which when exposed the plastic would have been completely gone. So basicially I was worried about nothing?.
Please correct If I'm wrong. -
Inductor doesn't need to be cooled.
If you see visual damage, then it would be from an electrical problem. -

Try to contact Khenglish on techinferno, maybe he can help you out. -
I did it the old fashion way and simply plugged the card into my notebook, everything worked flawless except for when I was trying to benchmark or use tools like GPU-Z. This is caused by broken Vram which I had to remove from the card in order to get my notebook to post (someone melted solderballs together on 1 vram chip). Now my question is where can I find GDDR 5 Samsung ram for the GTX 980M?
I got flux and a heatgun, so that shouldn't be a problem. Now the question is, where do I find those chips?
What is this component called and how much does it cost?
