What is turbo memory? The notebook I ordered comes standard with 4GB of RAM. What does installed turbo memory do? I'm not even sure if my notebook can use it or not. Does it help performance much?

I have an Asus G50vt-a1 coming.

Even if I can't use it, I would like to know the ins and outs of it. Is it the same as plugging a USB 2 drive in for vista to use for added memory?

Though it has been concluded to be useless as it does not speed up a system unless the system has 512mb of ram or less

Does it reduce the power consumption?

I doubt it reduces power consumption, I had it in my 15x, didn't really tell the before and after results, everything seemed the same :( .

I dont know much about power consumption but I highly doubt it would make a noticeable difference like undervaluing etc can.
