Hey everyone, as many of your are aware, System Requirements Lab is a site that will tell you how well, and if you computer can run a specific game. Recently, they added a feature that would tell you your "rated" CPU speed, sort of a way to compare apples to apples. I thought it would be interesting if everyone went to the website, ran the test for any game, and then just wrote down what their CPU is, and what its "rated" performance was. So please visit the website below, and obtain your "rated" performance. Please include desktop and laptop CPUs of an kind. The picture below shows where you will find the "rated" performance on the results screen. This should be fun. Thanks for contribution in advance!![]()
UPDATE: This thread has a compilation of all the data obtained here in a nice, easy to read format!![]()

Rated Performance Circled on Results Screen

Desktop:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.4GHZ (OCed to 3.90GHz)
Rated Performance = 8.58GHz
Laptop:
Intel Pentium M 770 @ 2.13GHz
Rated Performance = 3.
EDIT: For everyone who overclocks, please include a rated performance for both you stock clocks and overclocks. This includes me!
-
Notebook:
Core Duo T2050 at 1.60 GHz.
Rated Performance = 2.75 GHz.
Desktop:
Core 2 Extreme QX6700 at 2.67GHz.
Rated Performance = 10.02 GHz.
Think if I overclocked, Mark...

Notebook:
Intel Core Duo T2250 @ 1.73GHz
Rated Performance = 3.11 GHz -

You Have: 2.01 GHz
Performance Rated at 4.22 GHz -
Is that overclocked? If so how do you accomplish that?
I have the same processor...

well i think earlier [like a few weeks ago system requirements lab rated my cpu at 2.59 ghz
is that what your getting? -
You Have: 2 processors running - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz PASS

You Have: 2.01 GHz Performance Rated at 4.96 GHz -

Samsung Q35:
You Have: 2 processors running - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T5600 @ 1.83GHz
PASS

You Have: 1.83 GHz Performance Rated at 3.84 GHz
I conclude that the testing puts a big weighting on the extra cache in the T7200 because scaling up the T5600's result would result in a PR of 4.2GHz.

Keep them coming this is interesting, hopefully we can get some older processors thrown into the mix as well!

Shame it doesn't recognise the Crusoe CPU. The result would have have been at the low end of the scale. It's OK for Solitaire!

Anyway I think it's a quite peculiar and not so useful way of categorizing cpu performance: a Turion X2 2.0 GHz has roughly the same performance and has a much higher rating... -
I know, just interested to see what results would look like for different CPUs. At least it is a way for people to understand that a high clock speed does not mean high performance as many people tend to think still.

There's an older one for you guys. I'm envious of all you duo cores
BTW I have a HP dv1207us -
Turion TL-50 @ 1.6GHz

Edit: Someone should tally up all these results (once theres more responses) and organize them in a nice sticky, so that pple can get an idea how powerful a cpu is in regards to another and stop asking the same question all the time (much like the gpu stickies). -
Adinu, that sounds like a good idea. I'll work on that this week!
-
Great, I see you already made a post about it.
Looking forward to the information. -

I'm not sure what I did wrong but I can't find where to rate my CPU
-
-
-
don't see any "rate my cpu", and when I click "can you run it" I just get, the you passed screen for whatever game I select.
-
There is no rate cpu. Its part of the "can u run it". Once you do that, its gonna list out all ur components and how they did for that certain game. Near the top is the cpu, and it will tell u what ur rating is.
-
Yup, the game passed screen should have your rated CPU speed on it.
-
yeah, but it doesn't say anything about the over 2.0 ratings you've been posting.
-
check out the 2nd line. It should be something like this:
CPU Speed
Minimum: 1 GHz
You Have: 1.60 GHz Performance Rated at 2.00 GHz -
found it!
2.00 GHz Performance Rated at 3.74 GHz
too bad it's not higher. -

You Have: 2 processors running - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7400 @ 2.16GHz

Thanks for the posts so far everyone!

You Have: 2.19 GHz Performance Rated at 5.43 GHz
Why T7500 is rated lower than T7400?! -
AMD Athlon 1GHz @ 1GHz.
Rated speed: 1.1GHz.
