Piggy-backing on the POLL asking which screen size do you consider ideal, I was wondering which resolution in those respective sizes do you prefer?

I find 1440x900 on a 14 inch perfect. 1680x1050 on a 15.4 is too small for me, and I want more real estate than 1280x800 can provide.

Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Bah I only chose one, 1680x1050 on 15.4". Oh well. 1440x900 would be my 2nd choice.
-
1680x1050 on a 15.4" is an amazing experience
1920x1200 on a 17" is also really nice
I have pretty much always used a 15" or a 17" and those are the best resolutions in my opinion.

On a 14" and 15", i prefer 1440x900.
On a 17", either 1440x900 or 1680x1050. -
None of them apply to me.
I prefer 1400 x 1050, both in 14" or 15" screens.
These silly "wide" screens are nothing but normal 4x3 screen chopped off. People are buying in to this marketing hype and it's nearly impossible to find a 4x3 LCD any more. Crazy stuff man! -
1920x1200 is the best one so far.

I voted for 15.4" 1680x1050 and 17" 1920x1200
-
16:10 makes more sense than 4:3 because the human field of vision is similar!!
also at higher resolutions u can run 2 windows comfortable side by side.
im comparing my inspiron 8200 (15 inch UXGA 4:3) 1600x1200 and my precision m4400 (15.4 inch WUXGA 16:10) 1920x1200 -
14.1 or 15.4 are fine. 17 inch laptops are too heavy to carry.
-
15.4" @ 1680x1050, til death do us part.
-
I had 2 years 1680x1050 on 15,4"
its really nice but if you play games on 1280x800 on high its getting blurry cause of the native resolution so i got 1280x800 2weeks ago and its much more sharper.
1280x800 with mid end card
1440x900 with gaming card
1680x1050 with high end card
i had a 2600xt on 1280x800 and cod5 was much better play then on a high res screen cuz it was much sharper on a 1280x800 screen ofc -
17' at wsxga

the higher the dpi, the better.

The only problem I have is that it is very hard to find wall papers
But I find the pixel density on a 1440x900 on a 14.1 is prefect -
had a dell inspiron 9100 with 1920x1200 res, had it for 4 years and thought it was good til...
i got my T400 a few months ago with 1440x900 and i'm never gonna use a higher resolution on a laptop. -
I find the 13.3 size great for portability. 1280 x 800 resolution on this size is very sharp.
I wouldn't go higher than 14.1", though. -
17 inch with 1920x1200 is AWESOME.
What is your ideal display resolution for a laptop?
