    Hiya,
I've got a friend who spilled liquid on her keyboard and the last time I tried to clean one, I used rubbing alcohol and ruined the ****ed thing.
Does anyone have a cleaning solution or some guidance about which Satellites have cross-compatible keyboards?
    Thanks!

Patience is king when it comes to clean spilled liquid from keyboard.

You do not want to use any chemicals, you only want something to disolve / wash away the spilled liquid.

For cleaning solution if the liquid spilled is water based (softdrink, juice, coffee or tea) get some distilled water (Suggest 1 gallon) and a pan that is big and deep enough to receive the keyboard for immersion.

Remove the keyboard from the laptop, and immerse it in the distilled water.

The amount of time it will have to soak will greatly depend on how dried up the spill got but I would suggest at least 24 hours. If you heat the distilled water to lukewarm (No more than lukewarm!) it should work even better.

Once you think that the spilled has all disolved, let the excess water drain from the keyboard and leave it to dry for at least 24 hours (You can speed things up a bit with a airdrier set on low heat or try to have a fan blowing air at the keyboard.

    Best of luck
