edit: I can only find this much information from dell website.
R49XH - ASSEMBLY, CABLE, LVDS, FHD, W/CMRA, 3540
Apparently it is LVDS but google show no extra info about the its type.

You can look up the panel spec on panelook.com, that will have the interfac details for sure, and maybe also the connector spec and pics. If your replacement panel also matches the connector spec and layout for should be all good to go

Interface at the panel end is much more standardised than the laptop motherboard connector, which almost always needs to be matched with a model-specific display cable (not a generic or "normal" LVDS cable it looks like you are finding on ebay)
1st pic is what most laptop display cables look like. Occasionally there are rectangle plastic connectors on the motherboard like in the 2nd pic, but they are what connect to the motherboard, not to the back of a laptop display panel, and the only times I've seen split connectors on a display cable are where one is for a 3D emitter (laptops circa 2011-12 when 3D was a thing e.g. P170HM3, P370EM3, Asus G51J-3D, m17x-R4 etc) -
The connector on my laptop motherboard is flat though. Counting the connector there are 40pins but i am not sure it is 1 channel or 2 channel.Last edited: Jan 12, 2018
What kind of LVDS cable is this?
