Im looking for a good one. Having to bring my laptop with me to the can gets old after awhile (and always worried about dropping it too). I heard the ones with cables are bad cause they can be cut?
I want one that has an alarm if cut/set off.

I haven't used it, but it appears popular: Amazon.com: Kensington 64196 Security MicroSaver Computer Lock with Alarm (PC): Electronics

You won't be able to cut the cables easily, since they're typically carbon steel. Where do you plan on leaving your notebook? With enough time, any lock is circumventable.

A Kensington lock is more than enough.

I have a cheap combination lock and it works great.

What kind of laptop lock do you use?
