The left hinge (the hinge on my left when the screen is open and facing me) on my HP Pavilion ze5375us hinge has cracked, causing the screen to no longer have the ability to hold itself open and the mesh covering the speaker to pull up. Can someone please inform me of what parts I need? When I do a google search for HP Pavilion ze5300 hinge, I get this [IMG],

when the cracked part looks like the silvery casing here [IMG].
Do I need both parts? Any help would be appreciated.

I took my laptop to a local repair shop and they told me it would cost $280. Considering I paid less than a grand for this laptop brand new four years ago, I decided to try and fix this problem myself.

    Thanks.

The lower picture looks like it's the hinge cover, not the actual hinge. If the screen no longer supports itself and the cover is cracked, you will need to replace both cover and left hinge. Check the right hinge, it may be best to replace both hinges.

Thanks. Do you know of any online places that sell these parts cheaply? Or would ebay be the best option?

Try googling for the parts, but I believe ebay may be your best bet.
