    Hi, I just bought an Asus A6Jc, I want to know what the rpm of my harddrive, how can I check this out? The sticker on mye laptop just say 80gb and nothing more. Can anyone help?

    go into My Computer, right click on your C: drive, and go to the Hardware tab. Google / Newegg search the name of your HDD.

    Hi, using the program I found out that I have a Seagate 4200rpm harddrive with model number st980829a. But after looking at the manual on page 13, it says: "Spindle speed: 4,200 RPM-class performance (actual spin speed: 5,400 RPM)"
    What does this mean? It's so confusing...
