What screen size are you using and why did you choose that size? Are you happy with it? Will you go bigger or smaller?

I chose 14.1" because the 1420 is around a pound lighter than the 1520 and had a good deal when I was buying. I think that this screen size is perfect for viewing, although I really wish I got the WXGA+ display instead..

I upgraded or downgraded (?) from a 15.4" to 14"...in my opinion, the 14" is the Maximum size to be portable but I'm petite...got a great deal on my d630 and I couldn't choose the type of screen. Does the WXGA+ screen allow more real estate? Oh well...I guess if I have to ask, I'm not really missing anything, right?

I have a 15.4 inch screen. In the short term I wish I had something smaller as I will be in uni next year and taking it to/from library but its too heavy for regular travelling. But after that i wont be moving it around much so would prefer a bigger screen.

Uh... where are the standard aspect-ratio screens? There still exist standard-aspect ratio notebooks that are working, you know... and they're not that old, either.

    Meh, you're just old. :D

15.4", since it's the smallest laptop with a "good" GPU. "Good" being whatever I define it to be.

Heheh, I took the liberty of adding 15" and 14" 4:3 aspect ratio to the options. It's only fair :) And I voted 15.

My V6 is only 2 years old... and it's still spotless.

I'm in the 14.1" bunch. I like it because it has a nice portability to it, but at the same time I can be on it for long term use and it doesn't bother me looking at it. Meaning I am not squinting my eyes. :) I really think I could be on opposite ends of the spctrum according what I need it for but for sitting in the middle I think 14"ers are the perfect size.

    7", on my Eee.

Why'd I choose it? It's cheap and about as portable as it gets.

I'm moving this to Hardware because it's not really ASUS related (thanks to Dreamer for pointing it out), and also for better exposure / # of voters.

I'm using 17". My next one may be 15.4, havent decided yet. WUXGA resolution is a prereq for me.

I have a 15.4", my third one in a row, and before that a 15". Not sure what I'll get next, but I am leaning towards a smaller screen.

    14.1 inch standard screen.

My next purchase will either be 14.1 or 13.3 inches. I can cope with either standard or widescreen.

I got a 17 inch, but 15.4 would have been better. Most 15.4 laptops have a decent GPU in it (probably an 8600M GT) and that's great for me, but right now I'm running on an overclocked 8600M GS and I'm relatively satisfied.

I would want smaller I guess, but there isn't really much of a graphics option for smaller notebooks...

17" Its the business. Perfect for movies and opening multiple windows. Don't really bring my notebook out anywhere so it suits me
