    What tasks can I close down in the task manager?

    Okay this is what my task manager looks like which programs can I close down in the background, to make my laptop faster. Also the ones you tell me to close down what are they and what do they do?

    Also how do I close the little icon on the tool bar that says Safely Remove Hardware when I put my cursor over it and how do I close the icon that to see your speed for the wireless net.

    Type each of them into google, the first result will usually be a website describing what the process does.

    Otherwise, try shutting down every one of them and see what happens. Windows will prevent you from shutting down the essential ones, so there's no harm in it.
