Why the lcd has 2 cables? And what is the name of the one on the right? (I need to replace it because I think one of its wires is broken or is shorting out with another wire)
Thx.

LCD Assemblies typically have three cables to connect: the actual lcd signal cable, an inverter power cable (that power the CCFL backlight behind the lcd panel), and a wifi antenna that extends the signal into the lid in newer laptops.
I can't quite make out the brand or model name on the screen there. We would need that and possibly a service manual to properly find out which cable is which without further disassembling the screen bezel. -

I did a little research on your laptop (an evo n1015v, right?) and check to see on those little papers wrapped around the cable end if there is either a number AAB150500007S0-R00 for the inverter wire, or AAB150500012S0 if it is the lcd signal cable. I found this place selling both cables, or you could try ebay to get one for cheaper possibly:

Thanks for the help
First the laptop is a Compaq evo1015 as win32asmguy guessed correctly. I checked both pictures and I think it's the LCD Cable that needs to be replaced.
Is the LCD Cable the same for a 13" , 14" and 15" screens? -
Just the same issue with Evo1020V 15" screen. Probably some vire in right cable is broken and depending on screen position is brightness or low or high, impossible to tune with related buttons. Very cheap spare parts see (just the required cable). Delivery time 3 WD, it works...
What the name for this cable?
