http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136178 What wire is needed for that item to hook it up to my m1530? And Why is it so cheap?

You could get a SATA external hard drive enclosure and make it act directly like an external hard drive with better protection.
-
You need a 3.5" SATA external HD enclosure and an AC adaptor (although this is usually included with the enclosure).
The reason for the pricing is partly because desktop HDs are cheap these days (especially OEM HDs), and because that HD only has 8MB of cache, as opposed to 16 or 32MB. -
All 3.5" HDD's are cheap, about $1 per 10GB. Can't be compared to 2.5" HDD's as the pricing is totally different between the both.
-
I know there different but a similarly specced one was 120$ I think. But whatever, someone said that it came with no wires on a review so I would need and AC Adapter and what else to hook it up to my computer?
-
99% of all HDD's come with only the HDD and no cables what-so-ever! AC-adapter have never been an option with HDD's if it's not with an external enclosure or such.
You could get a 1TB drive for 115$, so you must be comparing to a 500GB 2.5" SATA drive and not a 3.5" as you've linked too in the topic!
Sorry, just trying to clear things out for ya! -
Yeah I guess it was 2.5". So I get an external enclosure and what else?
-
For which HDD ? The one in the OP ?
-
Yeah. (char)
What wire do I need for this?
