I'm having trouble finding what the native resolution for my LCD monitor on my laptop is. The screen is 15.4" SXGA TFT and has a max resolution setting of 1400x1050. The laptop specs is in my signature. Thank you.

SXGA+ (1400x1050) is your native resolution. For LCDs the max resolution is the native res, since it can't physically display anything higher. And it's a 15" standard ratio monitor, 15.4" are widescreens.

as long as you have the correct drivers installed, the 'native' resolution is the same as your maximum resolution.

    Just wonder your screen's resolution.
15.4 for WSXGA should be 1680x1050, 15.4 for WXGA only up to 1280x800. 15.1 for SXGA should be 1400x1050, and 15.1 for XGA only up to 1024x768.
