    which is the better way to play DVD movies on a laptop (regarding longest battery run time per charge):

    dvd drive or burn image to HDD ?

    oh lol before i opened the thread i was gonna say on thumbdrive or sd card from card reader :D

    if you can play it on an external screen or reduce the screen brightness down at least to 75% brightness. also you can disable things like wifi and such but im sure you knew that already.

    using an efficient software will also reduce battery drain (barely any really but any little will add up :D)

    hdd is way efficient +fast than cd

    from Hdd always... however , battery life isn't the problem for me.. i always use AC power anyways ... Dv5t has crap battery life...
