Trying to decide where to buy my parts....on Newegg.com I found these two;
CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Notebook Memory Model VS2GSDSKIT667D2
Price: $265
CORSAIR 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Notebook Memory Model CMSS1GB-667SOD
Price: $189
Would seem the better choice would be the 2gigs....unless there is something fundementaly different between the two????

More RAM never hurts, regardless of what you might be doing on your PC.

1GB PC5300 modules start at less than $105/stick.
Notebook RAM is generally the same all around; the timings don't vary like they do with desktop RAM. I would say go with the most inexpensive name-brand memory you can get. -
The 2 x 1GB is ValueSelect. The 1GB stick is not. Supposedly, the non valueselect one is better, but not worth the price. Listen to Chaz.
What's the diff??
