I'm looking at this notebook here at 1.6 GHz
http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/de...e 2 Duo SL9300 1.6 GHz - 12.1" TFT_1552690#TS
I wanted to know compared to other notebooks of it's class, say a notebook with Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz, 3 MB L2 cache, 1066 MHz FSB, what difference would I see in performance? What does a higher processor mean to me or a higher cache?

You would see a decent difference between the two. The CPU Clock speed is more important than your Cashe Size. But it all matters.
-
the cache will not make much difference...
-
Between say, 2MB and 6MB, you will see some increase. Between like 2 and 3MB, no.
WOW, 104,109 Posts!!! lmao... -

Faster clock speed will win.
