Seagate Momentus XT 500 GB
I was looking to see which one to get but I'm at a loss at the moment because both of these drives seem the same? I haven't really done extensive amount of research but if both possess 4GB Flash, doesn't that mean both drives are equally fast in terms of speed/response time?
Any assistance here would definitely be of major help! I don't want to blow $30 unless if I absolutely have to and well eBay is usually my friend but I assume they think everyone on there is a bunch of retards and they are selling the less spaced hybrids for $150.
Also, if you guys believe for any reason I should wait, please let me know why or what I should be waiting for? At the moment I have the Seagate 500GB @ 7200RPM HDD, it's serving it's purpose but I would like to update to an equivalent sized SSD.

It's the same drive. The first on is "bare" which means it doesn't come with a box, manual, cables, etc...

Are there special cables that need to be required in order for an SSD to be successfully put on to the laptop? I remember when I added this 500GB SATA 7200RPM drive, there was a process that involved supply power to the drive and then connecting the HDD to my laptop and then clone it using EASEUS.

There's nothing special you need to install it.
It's a very good product. I use one myself and I do recommend it, as you can see in the top review in my sginature. -
Alright man, thanks for that, I think I may actually buy the bare drive, if nothing else but I may wait on it to improve to a larger cache size in the future. I noticed that it had some problems with multitasking, I'm not sure because I just skimmed over the review and looked at the graphs. Perhaps, you could best answer this, I usually open up Photoshop, iTunes, Chrome each time I boot. In the process, RM Clock is also running as well as Google Desktop, Norton 360, is that what you meant by multitasking or something along the lines of working two documents in Photoshop and perhaps 3 Illustrator, with a chance of opening a 4th?

The first multi tasking test in the review is a disk intensive scenario. "The first multi task test consisted of scanning a large folder of files with Avast Virus scanner, while at the same time copying a folder and decompressing a zip file with 7zip." That's three disk intensive tasks at the same time.
The momentus XT will especially speed up the launching of applications and booting your OS. For strong performance during heavy, disk intensive multi tasking you need a real SSD.
What's the difference between these two?
