Guessing you have the 700MHz version? If so, you won't notice much, if any, increase in speed. Reading here(Sorry NBR Forums) you will also need to change out your fan.

I've heard that before, is it because of the shape of the heatsink?

Guessing so, or more likely heating, as it says here:
Also recommended to upgrade to latest Bios.

Well, I ended up WASTING MONEY... because of lack of information or misinformation on the internets. I ended up buying this CPU, which turned out to be the WRONG PART.

Can anyone give me an exact part number?

Yes you need a mobile Pentium III, the 1.13 GHz version is what you should be looking for, i am unfamiliar with the code naming on these.

You'd need to find out whether Tualatin core processors work with your motherboard. It's a better processor in every area, but it was based on a different core with twice the cache and runs with a 133mhz FSB...

Anything with the Coppermine core and 495-pin micro-PGA2 package should work...

S-specs of SL53S, and SL5TF *should* work. No promises, but they match the core and packaging. But obviously do check whether a Tualatin will work, because it'll run faster and cooler... :)
