    anyone know what the hole in the middle of these two usb ports is? the product description doesn't give any info on it.

    also, i'm interested in one that fits completely inside the laptop, such as Amazon.com: 2-Port USB 2.0 PCMCIA Cardbus PC Card (fully inside for Notebook): Electronics or 2 Port USB 2.0 Hub to CardBus PC Card PCMCIA Adapter | eBay

    anyone have any experience with this type of adapter? some of the reviews say that they can lack enough power to run certain peripherals (such as powering a boot drive) or that it can cause the computer to lock up.

    that was my first thought, but why wouldn't either of those product's descriptions even mention it? and i've checked other similar product listings where i can't find it either...weird.
