I mean back in the day there were standards of keyboard that manufacturers followed for example the 'xt' and 'at' standards. My problems is now laptop makers have gone mad, not only keyboards feel different from laptop to laptop but also placement of keys and layout.
I am having difficulties using laptops as I switch laptops frequently for work purposes. The othe day I encountered a HP with the R shift and enter keys integrated into one key.

I feel your pain. Funny thing is that a laptop's keyboard is usually one of the deciding factors on a laptop for people. It shouldn't be, it should be standardized for the most part. Instead there's hundreds of different keyboards out there and sometimes even finding a replacement is difficult.

wow, I didn't know there is such thing as combining shift and enter. Then again, I never use right shift
What's up with Notebook, laptop keyboards?
