People might utterly dislike it for its stability issues and heavy weight, but my vote goes to the Compaq Evo n800c. A true marvel of great design that have yet to be beat in the looks department.

    What's your favourite?

Sony FE has my personal vote for exterior design. I prefer simple matted white magnesium lid over the sleek dark carbon or brushed aluminum chassis.
My dad has one, but the build quality is horrible.
Minor things like the lid latch, how the lid doesn't close tightly, the battery and the optical drive are loose, touchpad buttons on his aren't even level. Interior design isn't spectacular either. touchpad buttons again are made of different material and is square and hard, and sticks out. power/volume buttons look plain, and are hard to push, etc...

I have mine upgraded alot, with 1 gig ram, 60gig 7200 RPM drive, lookin to get the dvd player now. but as for pure looks I think the vaio got it knocked, or the apple black macbook. but I dont like anything else bout the mac except the look.
