What is usually considered a good price a HDD? Im currently looking at the 250gb and 200gb HDD on Newegg and its around 164 dollars for the 200gb/7200rpm.

I usually check NewEgg and CD-W...they have, from what I've seen, better prices than most.

Newegg prices are usually pretty good for an e-tailer and almost always better than your typical brick and mortar. You can usually find items a bit cheaper on ebay, but they'll usually be used and/or more suspicious looking. That's not to say ebay purchases are bad, just less reliable than Newegg and others.

Dunno if you can get the 5k320 yet, but the 320GB Samsung, Toshiba, and WD drives are available on Newegg. Benches for the Samsung unit can be found here; I'd wager that the 5k320 should offer similar performance. I think the whole lot of 320GB drives (maybe save one of them) have the same platter configuration?
