Do anyone know what is different between SLA45 and SLA3P?

In the processor finder of Intel, there are lots of CPUs have the same specs but have different sSpec# and different Package Type.

    Example:
    SLA45 2 GHz T7300 N/A 800 MHz 65 nm E1 4 MB Micro-FCPGA
    SLA3P 2 GHz T7300 N/A 800 MHz 65 nm E1 4 MB Micro-FCBGA

How to know that what sSpec# of a CPU. My cpu is T7300 but i dont know its sSpec# is SLA45 or SLA3P.

BGA is basically a chip soldered to the motherboard and therefore nonupgradable. PGA uses a socket and can be swapped out.

And I don't think this is relevent to the Graphics forum.

    Thanks, Tony_A ;)

So FCBGA is better than FCPGA.

But how to know that what type of the CPU? (SLA45 or SLA3P)?

What notebook do you have? Very few are soldered on these days.

Also, I'm curious as to why you think FCBGA is better than FCPGA?

Not sure if BGA is necessarily soldered on, if so you wouldn't find them second hand on ebay etc. which you do.

Nearly All standard voltage C2D are available as FCBGA. But BGA are soldered on. They cannot be upgraded.

All Intel "L" & "U" CPU's are FCBGA you are more likely to find FCBGA in notebooks where space is at a premium small and thin as they have a lower profile. While I do not doubt you can find them on Ebay I would need to do more research to find out if it is practical or even possible to install as they are not considered upgradeable. Can you imagine soldering all those little balls and not shorting any.

You mean FCBGA. FCPGA is the regular socket.
