ur CPU or GPU might be getting overloaded by 1080p playback.. try updating to latest flash beta or version 10.1 and newest ATI drivers as possible.. this should ensure no problems with choppy 1080p video.. i certainly don't have any with gpu accelerated 1080p youtube videos..

You Tube does 1080p now? Damn, I must've missed the memo on this. Is there a way to specifically locate 1080p content?

EDIT: Now that I think about it, my laptop doesn't have 1080p screen resolution anyway. Don't think the 1537 does either. Does it?

Flash hardware acceleration requires a 4xxx series GPU or higher, so his 3450 isn't even being used. It's all on the CPU, and I know for sure my laptop with a similar processor (2 ghz C2D) couldn't handle 1080p before 10.1 came out. Even 720p struggled at times.

I think you must have a virus problem,it might be eating up your cpu.Intel c2d ,hell even ultra low voltage c2d can handle it way easily. As a comparision my T7500 2.2 ghz handles 4 1080P trailers fine
Now 9 trailers simuntaneously with hardware accleleration with vlc 1.1
    Oh and i have 8400 mgs(128mb)

is that sarcastic or what.. even if he doesn't have a 1080p screen , doesn't mean he can't play the content at native res and decoding the video is causing the lagg...

No, not sarcastic at all. I honestly didn't know You Tube had 1080p vids now, and I was just wondering if downscaling the 1080p to 720p was causing the problem, too. Hence the question about his native resolution. :D

P.S. Mine stutters on 1080p, too. But mine is a POS.
