Hi
Looking to upgrade RAM for my laptop and just wondering what the coolest running 2-4 gig set out there is right now? DDR2 of course. The reason I ask is because I upgraded my old laptop with some ballistix last time around and that area was just scortching hot as a result, and want to avoid that happening again.
I don't game, so don't need some ultra fast hot running parts, just cool and quality.
thanks![]()

Hm... I don't know of anywhere that shows temp comarisons, but I have owned both Corsair and Crucial and have had 0 issues with them as far as performance and heat.
Hope this helps! -
Does not matter. Buy the cheapest with lifetime warranty.

Don't get any of the enthusiast or higher clocked ram. Just buy crucial. Crucial.com

200-pin DDR2 RAM doesn't get very hot. You can checkout Newegg. There were some some good deals there on the 4GB Kit DDR2-800 Modules from G.Skill and OCZ.
(BTW which CPU ??) -
i get my ram off of ebay... some say its risky... but i'd pay double the price for the same ram from crucial....just make sure the feedback rating is at least 95%

though thats how i got ripped off with my current busted laptop, it's how i'd buy the ram or any other computer part
Whats the best and coolest RAM upgrade?
