    I'm trying to find a new laptop, and have absolutely no idea what this description means: "FHD LED AUO B156HW01 V.7 95% NTSC Glossy Display".

    I do know what glossy is but the rest is just kind of gibberish to me; I'm not that tech savvy unfortunately :eek: ...

    Can anyone clear this up for me? The price difference between this and a regular glossy screen is only $25 but I'd rather not get it if it's not important or won't make much of a difference.. If it helps, I'd mainly be using this new laptop for gaming with some schoolwork.

    Thanks a lot :cool:

    fhd = full high definition (usually 1080p)
    led = led back lighting
    au0 = manufacturer
    b156hw01 v.7 = model number
    95% = 95% gamut (range of colors that can be displayed by screen), typical notebooks screens are about 50% - 60%

    FHD - Full HD, aka 1920x1080 resolution.
    LED - Light Emitting Diode backlight. Thinner display, better battery life.
    AUO - manufacturer
    B156HW01 - model
    V.7 - version?
    95% - gamut. Percent of colors the screen can reproduce.
    NTSC - display system used in North America.
    Glossy - glossy.
    Display - screen.

    AUO B156HW01 V.7 is the manufacturer and model (AUO being the manufacturer). FHD is Full HD, which means the display is 1080p. LED means it has an LED backlight. 95% NTSC is the gamut, which means that the display can output 95% of the colors that are theoretically possible.

    Basically what this will do is make the colors richer than in the stock screen (this is a Malibal, right?).
