    When do you think 4GB will cost only $200?

    Currently, I can get a decent set of 4GB RAM for about $400-450. Just speculation, but when do you think it will cost about $200 to upgrade?

    EDIT: I'm asking because the sooner the better...I've actually managed to top out at 1.8GB of my RAM being used. No, it isn't because of Vista...it is because of some of my new programs that I recently started using.

    I think the price won't drop drastically untill 8GB RAM becomes an option. But, 200$ sounds reasonable. I'm not really sure, but I guess with Santa Rosa or maybe even a little later. I recently bought a 2gb*1 Kingston for a little over 400$. I know it's too much but I couldn't resist.

    Perhaps after a year ad half.After the real memory hog games.Since the laptop gaming community is expanding.And perhaps when the fab. process for memory chips upgrades more.
