Does anyone know of any Windows laptops 13" or smaller that use full voltage Haswell M processors? Everywhere I look I see U series processors.

An enclosure that small doesn't have the ability to dissipate enough heat for a full voltage processor.

The one that I know is the W230 series but also I but there are quite a few other 14 inches that definetly use this...

Ask and you shall receive. The Toshiba R30 will fit the bill if you have the bucks. An i5-4300m notebook with a 13.3" screen. Expensive for what you get. Here's a link to the Toshiba website:

The w230ss sounds like a jet aircraft taking off. Not ideal for some situations.

The Thinkpad X230 cooled an M-series Ivy Bridge quietly. Unfortunately, Lenovo switched to U-series chips with the X240. I would have bought an X240 with a full-voltage Haswell chip.

I'm typing this on an X230 with a full voltage processor - so yes, it can definitely be done. All Lenovo had to do was slap a haswell-m processor, AC wireless, and an HD screen into an X230 and they would have had my money a long time ago. But no, they insist on ruining perfection.

I'll check out the Tosh and the Clevo - thanks. Although I doubt it has ergonomics and build quality like Lenovo. Last time I saw a Clevo in person, it's case had exactly two functions: hold all components together, and not melt in the sun.

Edit: Looked at the specs closely - the Clevo is way too heavy, but the Tosh has pretty much everything I want specs wise. It even has a DVD drive (not sure why) - that space would have been better used towards a bigger battery.

There is also the Fujitsu T734, but the resolution is low, it's a Tablet PC and priced like its made of diamond. That said full voltage CPUs still appear in a few small laptops.

I think the price to manufacture are still too astronomical, but perhaps in the "near" future.
