Part no. is LP173WF2 for the Matte EDP one and keep in mind Pascal GPUs only support eDP not LVDS :)

They can theoretically support LVDS through optimus, but I get what you're getting at that it isn't native

    Yes, native connection requires eDP.

Do you know the eDP cable PN? I'm trying to source one that won't take a month to ship from China. So far, the cheapest screen + eDP cable i've found is $40 and $30 (Mexico and China respectively, I don't mind Mexico, but China is annoying)

Yes, it would but it is a Glossy and not matte but that is personal preference. I looked at the sticker on the back of the panel and it matches the part number for the glossy panel ;)

I believe this is the eDP part no. is 6-43-P1701-010-JD as others have used it with to do a 120hz upgrade on P370 and P375-S Clevos. Hope this works out and do keep me updated on progress.

So are the P570WM and P377SM-A eDP cables cross compatible? Or would I need a new one

Meh, scratches are nothing that can't be buffed out! Right? No, its fine, as long as they aren't too bad, and if they are, I just flip the panel for more than I paid for it!

    The seller is still there.
Also, that scratch was huge, look at the description eBay link you posted earlier,

I made you a list of working 120hz panels so your search will be easier.

    ---P377SM-A Working 120Hz LCD Panels--

Base model no: LP173WF2 by LG Philips

    • LP173WF2 TP(A1): eDP|Glossy|(Works with your Clevo P377SM-A but is Glossy)
    • LP173WF2 TP(B1): eDP|Matte|(Used by Clevo) (Works with Clevo P377SM-A)
I advise you stay away from the B2 and B3 models as these are not guaranteed to work with the P377SM-A.

I ordered from a different seller, and it came with the cable, but ebay cancelled my order and deleted the sellers account, should have been more clear on that front. I'm just hoping it still ships out. Thank you by the way for the screen recommendations, but I still need the eDP cable as well. I've decided not to go 120hz anyways and stick it out with the the stock panel and try to OC it to 90hz atleast, so I bought a 8950m

I found the EDP cable on eBay and it will be a little long because its from another model but you can tuck it under palm rest. It is also 115 dollars. Type the part no. I listed earlier into eBay search.

I stopped, wasn't honestly that interested in finding one. The max this is going to have in it is 980M SLI, which is fine with the normal LVDS screen, especially OC'd. I might consider a 120HZ upgrade, but I have to focus my money elsewhere for right now

That seems good, Maxwell is going to be okay with LVDS panels and there's always time for 120Hz later as you said. Have fun!

I believe he might be away from the web for a little bit at the moment. The donation is a good idea :D

I skimmed through the thread, but in case you did not find a unit to purchase yet... https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/LP173WF2(TP)(B1)/

Screen, and in-stock, and not e-bay with a lifetime warranty. Good luck! I don't know if they sell the cable, though. You might want to contact them and ask. I do have a dead screen with the cable attached, but I know not if it's feasible for me to ship it to you if you don't have it (from my dead P370SM3)

Its far more expensive than Ebay, and my issue is I don't really have the money to spare. Is your cable 50pin eDP? I'll buy it from you if it is and keep it for future upgrades.

It's for the same screen, I listed a 3D vision laptop. My SCREEN (and motherboard) is dead on the unit. I'll have to find out the price of shipping it up via UPS sometime, then maybe you and I can work something out. Unfortunately i truly do not know if it is still working or not, since the screen died I haven't used the unit. I did have it properly checked via diagnostic software at a repair shop which gave the screen a dead rating but not the cable, so it may still be functional. I just can't test.

Thats fine if I can buy it for cheap enough. Thats really the only issue here, the screen is easy to find, but the cable would take a month to ship from China

Funnily enough, my screen arrived today. Before the laptop. But I can't use it because I bought a AMD card...

The end part of the cable that connects to the motherboard is only 30PIN, while the part that connects to the screen is 50PIN

As well, the cable is already plugged into the screen and that looks fine, but I don't know if the cable will plug into my laptop

Funnily enough, doing further research, I actually have the 120HZ screen installed, the LGD02C5 lol

AMD Radeon confirms it as a eDP connection, and googling the part number reveals a 3D vision panel

It is showing up in device manager/HWinfo64/Aida64 as a native 120HZ panel, because of my modded INFs for this install, thats why the refresh rate was screwed up initially.
