Does anyone know the part number for it? It would much appreciated

Part no. is LP173WF2 for the Matte EDP one and keep in mind Pascal GPUs only support eDP not LVDS

They can theoretically support LVDS through optimus, but I get what you're getting at that it isn't native

Do you know the eDP cable PN? I'm trying to source one that won't take a month to ship from China. So far, the cheapest screen + eDP cable i've found is $40 and $30 (Mexico and China respectively, I don't mind Mexico, but China is annoying)
-
Yes, it would but it is a Glossy and not matte but that is personal preference. I looked at the sticker on the back of the panel and it matches the part number for the glossy panel

Do you know if the eDP cable from the P570wm can be used? That screen comes with it
-
Mastermind5200 Notebook Virtuoso
If so, this a major steal and I'm pulling the trigger now
-
I believe this is the eDP part no. is 6-43-P1701-010-JD as others have used it with to do a 120hz upgrade on P370 and P375-S Clevos. Hope this works out and do keep me updated on progress.

So are the P570WM and P377SM-A eDP cables cross compatible? Or would I need a new one
-
I believe so.

Grant, be wary that the eBay listing has scratches on it.

Meh, scratches are nothing that can't be buffed out! Right? No, its fine, as long as they aren't too bad, and if they are, I just flip the panel for more than I paid for it!
-
Mastermind5200 Notebook Virtuoso
Welp, just pulled the trigger, time to wait a week and a half for customs *sigh*
-
I double checked that the P570 will support the LG 120hz panel and it does so I believe it'll run fine on yours aswell

Thanks for your help man, I'm just worried my school is going to startup again before it arrives and then I'll have no time to fit it lol!

Thanks! I think I'm the first person to to retrofit the panel on it, there isn't a guide for it specifically yet. Best of luck to you!

@DARCODER did it.

Interesting turn in this, my order has been canceled by ebay and the sellers account has been deleted....
-
The seller is still there.
Also, that scratch was huge, look at the description eBay link you posted earlier,
I made you a list of working 120hz panels so your search will be easier.

I ordered from a different seller, and it came with the cable, but ebay cancelled my order and deleted the sellers account, should have been more clear on that front. I'm just hoping it still ships out. Thank you by the way for the screen recommendations, but I still need the eDP cable as well. I've decided not to go 120hz anyways and stick it out with the the stock panel and try to OC it to 90hz atleast, so I bought a 8950m
-
I found the EDP cable on eBay and it will be a little long because its from another model but you can tuck it under palm rest. It is also 115 dollars. Type the part no. I listed earlier into eBay search.
-
@Grant B Gibson
How's the search for the EDP cable going? -
Mastermind5200 Notebook Virtuoso
I stopped, wasn't honestly that interested in finding one. The max this is going to have in it is 980M SLI, which is fine with the normal LVDS screen, especially OC'd. I might consider a 120HZ upgrade, but I have to focus my money elsewhere for right now
-
That seems good, Maxwell is going to be okay with LVDS panels and there's always time for 120Hz later as you said. Have fun!
-
Mastermind5200 Notebook Virtuoso
Thanks! Will do! Have fun with your clevo as well!

Now, if only I could find a PREMA bios for it lol. The parts I ordered for it are in my description if you are interested
-

Surprise, Surprise, doesn't let me start a conversation with him lol
@Prema would you be so ever kind to provide such a thing? I could make a donation if you would like -
I skimmed through the thread, but in case you did not find a unit to purchase yet... https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/LP173WF2(TP)(B1)/
Screen, and in-stock, and not e-bay with a lifetime warranty. Good luck! I don't know if they sell the cable, though. You might want to contact them and ask. I do have a dead screen with the cable attached, but I know not if it's feasible for me to ship it to you if you don't have it (from my dead P370SM3)Mastermind5200 likes this. -

Its far more expensive than Ebay, and my issue is I don't really have the money to spare. Is your cable 50pin eDP? I'll buy it from you if it is and keep it for future upgrades.

Mastermind5200 Notebook Virtuoso
Thats fine if I can buy it for cheap enough. Thats really the only issue here, the screen is easy to find, but the cable would take a month to ship from China
-
Mastermind5200 Notebook Virtuoso
Funnily enough, my screen arrived today. Before the laptop. But I can't use it because I bought a AMD card...
The end part of the cable that connects to the motherboard is only 30PIN, while the part that connects to the screen is 50PINLast edited: Jul 27, 2018 -
Regarding your eDP slots, its all good.

As well, the cable is already plugged into the screen and that looks fine, but I don't know if the cable will plug into my laptop -
Np. I misread your post. It'll be all good.

Thanks, will do. I'm not going to actually install the panel yet, as it would be a waste of time, I have a AMD card

Funnily enough, doing further research, I actually have the 120HZ screen installed, the LGD02C5 lol
AMD Radeon confirms it as a eDP connection, and googling the part number reveals a 3D vision panelmichealscott likes this. -
