I ordered a sager np9150 with stock hard drive.
I am about to order a samsung 830 256gb ssd.
If I just buy the ssd and not the laptop upgrade kit, I save 50$
Will it come with a mounting bracket inside the laptop?
If not, where can I get one?

If you plan on replacing the old HDD with the new SSD, then just pop the old one out and put the new one in. No additional hardware needed.

If you want to move the HDD to the optical bay and put the SSD in the main slot, then you'll need a caddy for that. EBay has them for $15.

Just for the HDD bay, you shouldn't need a mounting bracket. If the old HDD comes with one, just detach that bracket and reattach it on the SSD.

The laptop upgrade kit just comes with an external USB enclosure or cable to let you use your old hard drive for storage and/or transfer files from it when your new SSD is installed. $50 is a steep price difference, there's usually only about a $5 difference. But if you really want an external enclosure, you can buy a decent one for $15-20.

And also as others had mentioned, you will just use the bracket on the stock hard drive. Which isn't even really required.

Removal and replacement of the storage drive is pretty simple across all makes and models (save for a few where the drive is under the palm rest).

Also, the upgrade kit with the mounting bracket is often for desktops. I'm guessing that's what you're looking at. The mounting bracket is used to house the 2.5" drive in a 5.25" or 3.5" bay. You don't need that. :)
