I'm interested in this Ebay listing . (Dell Studio XPS 16 w/ 4gb ram, 500gb@7200, t9800, ati 3670, RGBLED, etc. for $1290ish after 8% bing cashback)

It comes with a t9800, but I only want a p8700 or so because of heat and power concerns. I could pick up a p8700 for 200 bucks or so, but what can I do with the t9800? Would it fetch a nice buck?

Anywhere to sell it other than Ebay? Thanks

You're one of the few people I see who wants to downgrade their processor. But if you feel that's what you want...

You can try The NBR Marketplace

Yea, I guess. I just know I don't need that much power and would rather have the p series because it uses less power and generates less heat in the already-hot SXPS 16.

How much do you think a t9800 would go for in the NBR marketplace?

There's a sub-board in the marketplace board for price checks. I have some processors that I've gotten price checked there. Just post there, and someone can help you.

T9900 goes around $450 in ebay nowadays. You could assume that $400 would be fair for your CPU.
