When I ordered my Alienware m15x I had the option to get it with 8gb of RAM from Alienware but I decided I'd just do it myself. Now I can't find anywhere to buy it and when I look at Crucial's website they don't even say it is compatible to do so. Anyone know where I can get this stuff?

What do you think the best ones are? Are the expensive ones really much better? What makes them better?

Unless you're maxing out your memory now, most people don't need more than 4GB. Personally, the cheapest memory w/ lifetime warranty (all the good brands have this) works the best. You won't notice any difference btw lower CAS or higher frequency or anything like that, it's all a marketing gimmick.
