    Im gettin ready to get a new laptop, and the only thing that has kept me from buyin one in the past is the fact that i never knew they were upgrade compliant, lol :D

    i think im gettin the sager 9261.. waitign till the 8800 is out (hoping prices come down on older GPU :rolleyes: any way my thought was i can upgrade my video later down the road, but im having issues finding the moble cards.

    where do you all get your upgrade parts? newegg is the only place i ever really shop but thats desktop Hware they have nothing as far as NB parts but Mem really.

    That's 99% of the time cuz you don't upgrade them. And if you can upgrade, the only place to get them is from the actual manufacturer, or if someone is selling them on ebay. Mobile gpus are not like desktop ones where any will work as long as they are the correct type, they are very specific and only ones made by the manufacturer will work.

    So you will not see any mobile gpus at stores like newegg, or amazon, or buy.com, or tigerdirect. Ebay or Sager themselves are the only ones that will have it.
