Whoopsy. Well, I'd consider it stable as Lenovo released it for some of their notebooks to fix an issue with BSODs or something like that.

did you have any problem using the latest beta 11.5.0.1171? Can you launch HWinfo while on it?

With the version previous to 11.5.0.1171 , my Windows 8 didn't start. I had to boot to command prompt and delete Iastor.sys from the drivers folder to start up.

thanks for the heads-up. So in order to use it smoothly you have to do that? Do you intend to revert back or anything?

I don't normally use HWINFO64 but I tried to install it and it caused a blue screen crash with 11.5.0.1171.

    Since I don't have a raid0 array setup presently I'm using iRST 11.1.0.1006

yes. had to boot to command prompt using the repair menu and there using the "del" command to delete the iAstor.sys in the "c:\windows\system32\drivers\"
directory and also I deleted the iAstor.exe from the program files(x86)\intel\intel rst\ folder.
For now I use RST 11.1.0.1006 that you have suggested and it works well. But still I don't know if TRIM works :\ I think that we need also to a Bios update from our notebook vendors , because when my RAID eray is loading I can see that the version is still the old 10.3.0.1008 :\
Which means that when 11.5 RST is released the vendors will release a Bios update for the RAID eray ROM.

Intel RST for Desktop Boards 11.2.0.1006 is out. Listed on stationdrivers as well as on the Intel website. No changelog or release notes, I think..

Thx for the RST update info and links.

I've done a few new benchmarks on my 240GB SanDisk Extreme using CDM and Anvil Storage Utilities RC2 set to 0-Fill and see no significant performance increase over 10.8.0.1003 and 11.1.0.1006

I'm thinking about putting two older Intel 80GB G2 SSDs together as a RAID 0, using Windows 7 64bit.

With the latest drivers 11.2.0.1006 or the previous 11.1.0.1006, is there any kind of confirmation that there is trim support for RAID 0 yet on Windows 7??

Other forums claim trim for Raid 0 will only be supported in Windows 8 which would be really annoying...
News: RAID0 TRIM official with latest Intel RST driver - NVIDIA Forums

This was with the 11.5 RST and it seemed like the ORom needed to be updated on the BIOS which is very unlikely on my 3 year old motherboard. But some people are saying here the 11.1.0.1006 has trim support... This would be great news if true.

It seems to me like the SSD specification really needs to have a simple way to send a test "Trim" signal to the SSD and have it send back a confirmation that it is working. Why was something this simple apparently left out? It seems like Anandtech can prove trim is enabled with his tests but they seem like a lot of work filling up the drive with data. Is there a simpler method?

Hopefully someone can confirm if Raid 0 trim is supported in RST 11.2.0.1006.

I doubt that only windows 8 will support trim with raid0 because lots of companies use Windows 7 and I think it will remain . I tried raid0 with my SSD's with the new drivers and there is some degrading in the performance.
I also think that we will have to update our bios Raid controller in order to get trim in the future. When my raid controller starts I still see the 10.0.0.138 version.

Lots of attention to performance between various versions (it's apparently a wash from 10.8 on), but what about any notable problems fixed/created between Intel's still "official official" 10.8 and the 11.2 build that they release in less visible places than linking off the main Intel RST page, which still points to 10.8?
