I've been patiently waiting for the release of the Meroms so I can get my Z96 going. I thought August was the timeframe ... here it's September and I haven't been able to find any.

Add to that the fact that the T7200 is going for $100 more than what we were told to expect (which was $249). I feel tricked.

I ordered from PowerNotebooks on the 5th. The T5600 were not in stock then. I don't know about now, however. I'm calling in on Monday to find out. The T7200 is expected to arrive with them sometime in October.

Yes, Merom did "come out" in August. However, at that time they were not being mass produced for consumer lines just yet.

Intel is selling the chips the same price as C1D watt for watt. However, with supply and demand, many companies charge extra to upgrade. PowerNotebooks does not ;-)

The T5600 is in as of today, and shipping next week, as Donald/paladin44 of powernotebooks.com noted in the Compal forum
