So far ebay has only given me one hit for this.
I want to know good places to buy laptop components anyways.

Have you checked froogle? Looks like no shortage of vendors.

Is the P9700 really necessary for your usages?

Put it this way, I want a pretty powerful processor. I don't want to go quad yet, and I think this is a better option for me than a T9900 or a T9800 because of its reduced power consumption. So as far as I'm concerned, its necessary.

Thanks so much for the links! I felt a bit slow when I couldn't find many processor resellers on google >.>

And yeah, I probably wouldn't notice a huge difference, but I'm a bit power hungry. I've decided that I want the max 25W one that I can get, and I'm probably going to overclock it :p

    Then you should be searching for a P9600. 9700 is 28W ;)

25W, 28W, 35W, it doesn't matter. They are still going to run cool in Zachari9690's incoming M860TU.

Ah, well, I didn't know it was actually 28W, and I'm more worried about battery life than heat :p

And speaking of running cool, I've been reading the laptop cooler posts on here for well over an hour and I still haven't seen a definitive answer as to which one is best for this notebook.

I'm getting the feeling the Enermax Aeolus isn't quite as good as the Zelman NC-2000 or the NZXT Cryo LX... I really want to know, I saw this question posted in several places. And of course I've googled accordingly.

So if P9800 comes, it will consume 32W probably. :p

I'm really at a loss as to which processor to get now. I like the P9700 for its lower TDP but the speed of the T9800 or the T9900 is also quite appealing. How high would I be able to overclock the P9700 in a M860ETU anyways? And (I have no experience overclocking) if I did, would it consume more power anyways?

is the rest of your laptop up to the speed of the 9700? Fastest possible hard drive, a full boat of fast ram, nicely accelerated video, fast readyboost module, etc? The bazillions of $$ you are looking to spend on the 9700 might be better spent on other components.

I'm getting a m860ETU with a 7200RPM HDD, 4GB of 1333MHz RAM, 1GB GTX 260M, so everything is the best i can get without spending a lot more. Any more RAM would require me to buy a 4GB stick, which would cost another couple hundred, a SSD would also cost another couple hundred to get, the graphics card is fine, so I figured the P9700 was a good route to take.
And I haven't seen or heard enough good results from readyboost to make me go out of my way to get it.

If you do intensive CPU calculations on battery (100% load), you will benefit from the P9700. If you aren't doing intensive CPU calculations, doing it mostly on A/C power, or on a budget, stick with a T series. On idle and low load, there is very little difference in battery life (<5 min), especially when undervolted. The P9700 is an expensive upgrade and a SSD would give you better value if you just want the best overall system.
