Thanks in advance if anyone can help.
Anyone know where I can buy one of those rubber psu holder/braket things that came with the acer predator 21x?

It needs to be able to ship to sydney australia. I tried asking my local acer parts depot/service centre but they require a model number in order to order any parts and since I don't own a predator 21x I don't have a model number.

It's exclusive to Acer 21X

A couple of chunky rubber bands would do it just as well. Or you can measure and ask someone local to 3d print a holder of some sort (dunno if Whirlpool has a subforum on 3d printing, I know OCAU has a 3d print request thread)
Will probably cost you 1/10th of what Acer would charge for a spare
I'm not sure holding them against each other is the greatest idea anyway, being without active cooling they can only radiate their heat which is proportional to surface area exposed to airjaybee83 likes this. -
Still a pertty new laptop, and an expensive one at that. I am sure since it is their high end model they want alot of money to order a replacement/spare.

Elastomeric/stretchy materials for 3D Printers are rare and $$. I'm not sure OP is likely to know someone local with an objet connex printer.

I agree with not putting them together like that; leave them separate and allow them to cool properly.

the psu don't get very hot, probably 25°C at most under load. also one (of the two) psu pretty much always stays at room temperature (even under load)
the reason i want a holder/bracket is because the psu take up alot of desk space since cables not long enough to put them on the floor, stacking them could mean breaking them if they fall from accidental nudge and putting them behind the laptop would block the exhausts of an already overheating laptop -
should still work for other laptops that use the exact same psu

They'll get much hotter when they're together, I'd suspect...
In any case: just use a couple of strips of Velcro and put rubber feet on the opposite sides of both...
I'd say much better/neater looking than the elastic.

I would say, beside Velcro strips, get a countertop hot pad made from beads to place between the two brick to allow air for cooling. You could get oversized like below and cut it, even make the bumps double sided.

of course but you're looking for those holder and like i said they are exclusive to the 21X, you won't find them anywhere else.
