I'm new to this forum, but have spent a good long time reading up on things here before making my purchase of a new system.

I've decided to go with the M17, but I was wondering if it is possible to buy another HD3870 Mobility card anywhere?

That way I could hopefully save a bit of money by just buying the single card configuration...

Any sources for the card would be very much apreciated!

RJTECH usually sells aftermarket upgrades for laptops. Your system uses MXM-III based cards if I remember correctly.

You can also contact XoticPC, SagerNotebook, Alienware, PCTorque, etc for graphics cards. Your cards are new enough that they should still be in stock

    thanks for the quick reply!

RJTech dont seem to have the 3870 on there, and of the sellers on the list who sell systems using the 3870 (XoticPC, Alienware) they'll both charge a very high ammount for the card (thus defeating the point of buying single then doing an aftermarket upgrade)

I've heard people here that have said the second card is buyable... so I just need to know where from :(

hmm... still havent found anywhere to get one of these....

I'm starting to think maybe a single gtx280m based laptop would be a better investment
