Where is the best place to buy parts for laptops? Specifically CPU and GPU. Just looking seems like e-bay but Id like new stuff if possible.

I've seen a few mobile CPUs on Newegg, but not many. Check your laptop to make sure the CPU isn't soldered onto the motherboard before buying.

As for GPUs, if your laptop isn't MXM standard then you can forget about it. But you can find GPUs at Clevo reseller websites.

I fixed an issue with my M18x R2 order so I will still be getting it, so yea. Everything on my rig will be upgradeable. Just wish there were more places to buy new laptop parts.

Why is there not a million places to get mobile parts like there is for desktops? I know most laptops arent upgradeable but many are nowadays but still no places to buy stuff....

Eh, I guess the problem is, in addition to most laptops not being upgradeable, it's not easy to upgrade a laptop's CPU or GPU when they are able to. That and a lot of people who are planning on getting into the guts of their machine tend to go for a DIY desktop.

To me at least from the looks of youtube and reading around upgrading this computer at least seems easy enough. Anyway there HAS to be a market out there for it. Im sure if just this forum sponsored you youd have enough of a market to make some money.... Maybe just a matter of getting a supply from the manufactures at a good price since the volume wouldnt be as much as a major computer company. It just sucks, buying from alienware is about 1/2 the price of getting USED parts on ebay.....
