Hey, I was wondering where I could buy a 7900go card from. If anyone knows, that would be awesome, because I have been looking to buy just the card for awhile now. Thanks guys.

Edit: My friend will be installing the 7900 in his dell e1705, he currently has the X1400. And yes, I read the other thread so it should work.

I found out that you can buy them by calling dell, however is there a website you can do it off of?

Dell and eBay are the main places, smaller shops don't usually have them, unless for special reasons.

Dell uses a proprietary model of mobile GPU's so the only way to acquire one that would fit your E1705 would had to be through dell/ebay and you must have an already dedicated option on the E1705 (X1300/X1400) otherwise you cannot do the upgrade.

Those will not be compatible. MXM is the 'industry standard' that Dell doesn't use. Ask Ice-Tea.

As the others said: can't help for Dells. Your notebook is MXM, Dells are not.
