Hello everyone,
today I finally swapped out all the vram chips of a broken GTX 980M, it finally booted with image and all, drivers installed succesful and the card gets recognized.
BUT the moment i try to start a game, the notebook just freezes and won't proceed doing anything. When looking at the graphiccard, all looks fine except for 1 inductor, that seemed to have gotten hot by a heatgun from the previous owner. Now I'm looking for a replacement Inductor, the only issue is I have no idea where I should find the proper inductor.
I would appreciate any help ;_;

If techinferno wasn't down for the last few days I'd already have done that :x

No need to go there anyhow. @Khenglish is here. You should send him a PM here. He has repaired several GPUs and a motherboard for me. He definitely knows what he is doing. He repaired a dead 1070 for @Coolane just a few days ago.
He can also beef up the GPU to make it less prone to failure and overclock higher.
You can buy many of the components from Digi-Key or Mouser. I generally buy my small IC components from Digi-Key.Last edited: Aug 24, 2017 -
@Khenglish is already handling one of my cards, stellar guy. He had some trouble finding the right MOSFETs but I directed him to the right supplier on AliExpress, I hope the seller delivers.

Please post a picture of the card. Inductors are a tough part. They are literally a solid block of magnetic metal, so you can't really overheat them.

Your card has been tested and ready to ship since Monday, but you are blocking PMs to handle getting it back to you.
Where to find GTX 980M inductors?
