    Hello,

Which card do I need for an Inspiron E1705 so I can upgrade from my current 1390 "G" card WLAN to a gigabit "N".

I was looking at the Intel 5300, but I read here that it is not compatible with my E1705.

Which card have others used with success?

    Thanks for the help.

The Intel 3945 and the 4965 will be direct drop in replacement cards for the E1705.
The E1705 uses full length mini pcie cards, so if you can find a Intel 5100 or 5300 you should be able to use it.
Half length cards will not work unless you find a way to secure the wireless card.
