In regards to what? Performance or Battery life...

The mobile Athlon64 runs @ 2.4GHz and obviously is faster but in the process has a TDP rating of 62W. The Turion being a 2.0GHz part will be slightly slower(usually the Turions and the mobile Athlons are comparable clock for clock in most applications). But the Turion consumes much less power and thereby will give better battery life and a lighter laptop.

Performance wise ML-37 is equivalent to Athlon64 3200+ . ofcourse power consumption wise ML-37 is rated for 35watts vs 62W for 3700+.

Athlon64 venice core(or even winchester also I think) is really very power efficient, taking about 30-35watts at full power only.

But at idle and light loads Turion take very little power vs minimum 8-10watts used by Athlon64 venice core.
