Looking for the right 4GB flash drive (thumb drive, pen drive) that will work with Vista on my new machine that is coming in.

Seems like hit or miss in a lot of compatibility reviews ( http://www.grantgibson.co.uk/misc/readyboost/).

Looking to simply my choices . . .

    Who has a recommendation?

    Looked at both links . . . it looks good . . .

I am thinking about ordering two . . . need one for my wife another for me . . .

Will it work on both of my laptops . . . a Core Duo with Vista and a Pentium M with XP Pro?

Never had one of those so I can't say. :)
Yes, it will work in both. Flash drives are plug and play devices.

I use the sandisk cruzer micro black 4gb. They are very cheap 39.99 at most stores and work for regular and readyboost. I see them on sale in the circulars all the time, regular 80-90, discounted down to 40. Best buy and circuit city have them.

Readyboost does not work on XP Pro for sure . . .

Ordered the 2 x 4GB Voyager GT today . . . specs and support look great, one for me and one for her.

    I took this:
. . . as "will I be able to use the flash drive with the XP Pro laptop?" as in, be able to use it as a flash drive. And the answer to that is yes.

Yeah. I was looking at the heading as I was reading his post. So I guess I misinterpreted it. My bad. ;)
