So, I'm considering buying a Sager NP8851 from GentechPC. It looks like they offer free replacement of the thermal paste, which is cool. I'm just curious what would be best. The options are:

    -IC Diamond on CPU/GPU
    -Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra on CPU/GPU
-CLU on CPU/IC Diamond on GPU
    -Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on CPU/GPU
-TGC on CPU/IC Diamond on GPU
    -Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut on CPU/GPU

    Any thoughts?

TG Kryonaut on the CPU/GPU. The P950 has a tripod heatsink (for the CPU) which makes the installing liquid metal inadvisable. I can't be sure of this, but I seem to remember that liquid metals etches the dies of nvidia gpus, so I'd stick to using kryonaut.

Liquid metal reacts with and stains copper but does nothing to silicon dies and is easily wiped off with IPA.

Interesting. What about the tripod heatsink makes liquid metal inadvisable, exactly?

Thanks for the replies, both of you!
