Correct.
Not sure if this will work, but could you not burn that file on your desktop as an .ISO using CDBurnerXP?

My question now is that when cloning I have to original HDD in the computer and the new one in the enclosure right? After its done cloning, all I need to do is switch them and it should boot up fine?
Also any guesses at how long it will take to clone my HDD? I've got about 36GB on it. Its a 160GB @7200 RPM going to a 320GB @7200RPM.
Thanks -

Seems that I have screwed up twice. I burned the Acronis to a bootable Cd using there create bootable media but it said it couldn't continue because it was the trial version.
Also in the process I think I changed the boot order so that my graphics card does not start?? Any idea which option the Graphics card is?
Please Help -
Why do I have to boot from acronis? Why cant I do the cloning by just opening the program on the desktop?

So I did everything only to find out that when I put the scorpio black in the computer that it said an error. I will be trying it again tonight and hopefully it will work the second time.

You mean you cloned it while you were booted of the CD?
-
Did I do something wrong? -
Sounds like you did everything right.
Maybe try Casper:

Do i need to erase everything off the disk or can i copy over it?
Also with casper, do I need to boot to it(if so how) or can I just use it off the desktop? -
Just do it.

OK I need a bit more help and then it should work. I cloned using EASEUS and it worked but it partitioned a 150GB and the rest of the drive is unallocated so I need to partition it.
Any recommendations for a program that will partition it for me? -
Acronis Disk Director works well for me.
Gparted is a free solution and said to be good too.
I guess Gparted leaves less background processes. -
I partitioned using Gparted and the partitions show up in both Gparted and in Acronis True Image partition creator. The partition however does not show up when running the computer. The clone is successful as I am running off the new HDD now and would like to keep it in if possible.
Why would the partitions not show up on the computer but the partition shows up in the programs? I did create the second partition(Its broken into 2 both about 150GB) after the clone was done in the first one. Easeus actually created the first one and I had to create the second one.
Does the partition have to be in a certain format? Also in Gparted you can create extended partitions, primary, etc. I tried both and neither one showed up on the computer. I could use the acronis partitioner but I would have to delete the clone and start over. Also I havnt had good luck with acronis, it has not finished anything other than the clone(that didnt work) under 6+ hours.
Any time I bot from a CD it shows the capacity as 298.1GB but the computer shows it as the cloned size of 148GB? What about the rest. I know it is there and I know I can get to it some how, what do I need to do so that I can get the OS to recognize the second partition? -
